The Caribbean Beach Resort was Disney's First Moderately Priced Resort to open.
We stayed at the Caribbean Beach resort during
the summer of 1990. It really was a great resort. We were really
surprised by how well Disney adapted itself to this "moderate" price
range, this was the first resort in this range. It was well worth
staying onsite verses off-site. The other really amazing thing about
this resort to me is its size. It is really spreadout. This was
nice because you didn't feel as if you had 2000+ rooms all on top
of each other. The food court was ok. The Disney bus system that
services this resort was fairly efficient. The only thing is that
at popular times the buses fill up really fast.
In the early 2000's the resort received an update to the dining locations and all the rooms were redone.
