Here we take a look at some Holiday highlights from my December 2008 trip. Included are shots from the Christmas Day parade taping, resort decorations, as well as a look around the parks.

In 2007 Sleeping Beauty Castle received a dusting of snow and some great night time lights. In this pictorial take a look at the castle by day and night.

The Big Thunder Ranch becomes Santas Reindeer Round-up each December and it features reindeer, Santa, characters, a small stage with live entertianment, and more.

A look around NOS at the holidays.

Each building in Toontown gets its own unique holiday decorations.

This section features interior and exterior shots of the Haunted Mansion Holiday.

The Disneyland Classic's annual holiday makeover. Enjoy a bunch of exterior shots then a virtual ride through. There are thousands of lights leading the way to the attraction and on the inside the entire ride has been "re-themed" for the holidays.

The other areas of the park, Adventureland, Fantasyland

This section features a loook at the first Three years of DCA and how the park decorated for the holidays. We left out Luminaria pictures from 2001 because they have their own section below. This covers the parks first holiday, the Sand Castle/Skating Rink 2nd, and the Beach Part Blast 3rd.

These shots are from 2000. These include the Disneyland Pacific Hotel and the Disneyland Hotel.

Walt Disney World goes all out. This section includes a brief tour through the Magic Kingdom, the Disney Studios, Animal Kingdom, and Downtown Disney.

These shots are from December 2002, the last year this holiday light spectacle was on the backlot homes.

The resorts are a site to see during the holidays. Here we take a stop at several of them.

This parade started in 2005(it may have been 2004, anyone know for sure?). Here we have pictures of the 2006 edition. The parade is a holiday make-over to the Stars and Cars Motor Parade.

This Animal Kingdom tradition is a holiday makeover to the Jamin Jungle Parade. Here are pictures from the 2006 edition.

This stage show took place on select days (and during the Very Merry Christmas Party too) at the Galaxy Theater in Tomorrowland at the Magic Kingdom. Here are shots from 2006. The theater was removed in 2009 and no word if the show will find a new home or is gone forever.

One of the best Fireworks shows I have seen at Disneyland, second only to the original. The finale of this one is Snow around Disneyland.

One of my favorites, the Country Bears and at a favorite time of year, Christmas... how I miss this show....
