Downtown Disney - Dining

Downtown Disney offers you a variety of dining options ranging from quick snacks like Ice Cream and Pretzels to a full dinner at Cafe Catal. In between there you have some incredible dining experiences at the ESPN Zone and the Rain Forest Cafe. As of now there are no reservations being taken for dining, it is first come first serve and the waits can get long at popular meal mealtimes.

The prices are high, but not as unreasonable as you would think. For example at ESPN Zone you can get a 1/2 burger, fries, and a side (salad, fruit, etc..) for $9. The other sit-down dining places are somewhat higher (Cafe Catal and Jazz Kitchen).

The Geek's Suggestions

If you are looking for food that is of a higher quality than most themepark food (there are exceptions in both parks, such as the Blue Bayou), then give Downtown Disney a try. I can see DD getting extremely crowded on weekend nights when locals will be going too. So plan accordingly. Also try to eat at off hours. Either late or early. We went to ESPN Zone around 4pm on a Saturday and had our choice of dining tables, but when we came out at 5:30ish the wait was over an hour.
